Physiotherapy is a clinical health science and profession that aims to rehabilitate and improve people with movement disorders by using evidence-based and mostly, natural methods such as: exercise, motivation, adapted equipment, education and advocacy.
The services offered are: manual therapy which includes techniques like joint mobilization, soft tissue manipulation and non-manual methods like infrared, traction bed and short wave diathermy. Patients are also instructed on therapeutic exercises.
The Physiotherapy department in Lubaga Hospital is equipment for active exercises which include: a static bike, a treadmill, a gym station, parallel bar, therapy mattress and other assorted materials which we use for treatment of patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions.
