Antenatal clinics are held daily from Mondays to Saturdays for both new mothers and returnees. During antenatal clinics, key services include health education on different topics aiming at promoting good health of mothers and unborn babies during pregnancy and labour. HIV counselling and testing for all new mothers for elimination of mother to child transmission of HIV. All those who test HIV+ are enrolled in care and started on ARVs. Other routine Antenatal care is done by the midwives. Mothers at risk of medical problems in pregnancy e.g Hypertension, Diabetes, previous scars, young prime gravidas etc are screened and these are referred to MOs for timely management.
